hello wikipedians <3
I am catalan journalist, educator and researcher specialized in gender, culture and technology. Currently finishing PhD thesis on participation and gender in digital platforms with a case study on Wikipedia in which I have been working for the past three years. My main interest as a researcher is to encourage the participation of women and gender non binary folks in Wikipedia and other digital spaces.
In the context of my activism in Wikipedia, I am currently supporting new editors and organizers as a regional ambassador for the global campaign Art+Feminism and I also coordinate with other compañeras the local node of the campaign in Barcelona. I have been co-organizer of the editatona (edit-a-thon) Art + Feminisme 2018 and 2019 in Barcelona, and I am also part of the editors group part of the historic women house in Barcelona "Ca la Dona".
I often give talks about the gender gap and systemic bias in Wikipedia, and I will be happy to weave alliances with all the people who want to help address this issue.
I have collaborated with Enciclopèdia Catalana elaborating the update of the chapter on Contemporary Art in the first decade of the 21th century (2000-2010)
I publish in Catalan, Spanish and English.
